Humanity First USA and Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Auxiliary (AMWA) USA are collaborating on a national level to launch the “Make-A-Mask” Campaign. This stitch-at-home of non-surgical face masks is a response to COVID-19 and CDC’s latest recommendation that everyone wear masks in public.

Care Instructions When Making a Mask

Before Sewing:

  • Use 100% cotton fabric
  • Wash fabric with hot water & detergent, then dry in dryer for sanitation and shrinkage
  • Wash hands
  • Steam iron fabric
  • Clean and sanitized area before sewing masks
  • Steam iron masks before packing

Packing, mailing & delivery process:

  • Pack masks in zip lock bags (no loose masks)
  • Print and insert the disclaimer inside the zip lock bag
  • Wipe down bag with disinfectant
  • Volunteers must wear a mask and gloves while delivering masks
