Sahibzada Waleed Ahmad
Vice President Human Development
Waleed Ahmad’s non-profit experience runs all the way back to his teenage years, when he helped organize blood banks and provide free medical care in his native Pakistan. After earning his MBA, Waleed moved into international development, receiving a Masters in Public Health, Global and Community Health from George Mason University and working in several nonprofits.
In 2008, Waleed joined Humanity First USA, where he played a critical role in several major relief efforts. Through emergencies like Hurricane Ike in Houston and the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Waleed worked wherever he was most needed, directing Humanity First relief efforts both from the back office and on the ground. After our Haitian earthquake relief ended, Waleed stayed on to direct our development projects to help rebuild Haiti.
Waleed maintains that same flexibility and hands-on approach as Humanity First Director of Programs, a title he’s held since 2014. In addition to his director role, Waleed still fills in wherever he’s needed, from disaster recovery missions, to marketing and fund development.
