Dr. Ahsan Khan

As the Director of Gift of Sight, Dr. Ahsan Khan is in charge of leading a team of exceptional volunteers on the week long mission. He traveled with the Gift of Sight team to San Juan Sacatepequez, Guatemala in 2010 to perform cataract surgeries and examine patients during an eye clinic. This trip left a lasting memory with him, as he observed team members from various backgrounds working together to achieve a common goal: helping others in need.

As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Khan understands the dire need for eye care in many countries around the world; leading the 2011 team on the mission in Chichicastenango is his humble effort to help treat the epidemic of blindness around the world.
