March 12, 2017 -- Gearing up

After a long and tiring trip to Chiapas, our Gift of Health Team finally arrived in the beautiful city of San Cristobal de las Casas. Eager to explore around, our team set out on our first journey to a nearby restaurant to fuel up for the day ahead. Once we were done with that, we started to get to know the city better by walking to the center plaza, where everyone got to witness firsthand the culture in San Cristobal. The day consisted of sightseeing, market shopping, and eating.

After an exciting first day, we are eager to catch up on some much needed R&R and get ready for an exciting yet equally anxious first day of clinic tomorrow!

"I was really excited to come back to Mexico after 5 years, and am especially excited because this time around I am coming to help make a difference. I look forward to utilizing my bilingualism in Spanish and English to help bring about the most success for the camp and help connect with those whom we are serving!"

- Pascual Roberto Diaz, Gift of Health Team Member - Humanity First - Texas Chapter
