Humanity First USA will be holding the annual "Dine for Humanity" fundraising dinner on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 5:30pm, at the Yorba Linda Community Center in Yorba Linda, California. The events will be raising funds for the Humanity First USA banner programs and disaster relief efforts.

Saad Karamat will be speaking about his recent work in Ghana for the Humanity First Water for Life project. From December 2011 to February 2012, Saad worked with the Humanity First USA and Ghana teams to increase the project’s ownership, maximize its impact and ensure its sustainability. He was awarded a grant from the Clausen Center for International Business and Policy at U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business to support his work with Humanity First USA. He is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley.

Since its inception and IRS registration in 2004, Humanity First has been focused on spending most of the raised funds on direct program related expenses. As a result, more than 90% of its funds are in that expense category. This is achieved through dedicated volunteers in its management, and program operation teams.
