Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar
Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar (1963-2014) was an award winning Cardiologist practicing in Columbus, Ohio (Click Here).
He was a kind, compassionate and caring physician and also a humanitarian who took pride in helping those in need. It was this love for humanity that made him often visit his childhood home in Pakistan to provide free medical services to the needy and underprivileged at the renowned Tahir Heart Institute in Chenab Nagar (Rabwah). During one such mission on 26th May earlier this year he was martyred for his faith (http://www.dawn.com/news/1108902) .
Tahir Heart Institute (THI) is a state-of-the-art hospital providing treatment to cardiac patients across Pakistan irrespective of their ethnic background, creed or financial status. To honor Dr. Qamar and to continue his mission, THI has announced a new Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional laboratory at a cost of $1 Million, which has been named as MEHDI A.
