Gift of Health

The Gift of Health program is part of Humanity First's broader vision to reach out and provide primary health care in remote villages, where communities are deprived of access not only to basic rights, but also to preventive and medical needs. The trips are generally one-week long and take place at mobile camps in rural communities in with the support of the local Humanity First team. The Gift of Health camps include an area for registration and vitals and general medicine, dental, and pediatric clinics. A mobile pharmacy is also set up where patients receive free medicine, supplies, donations, and hygiene kits along with education.

Who can volunteer? Motivated and hardworking health care professionals, students and general volunteers are welcome to apply - all are welcome, regardless of background or Spanish proficiency. Are you a member of a Humanity First Student Organization? Contact your HFSO's president for more information on how joins a trip during your spring break! Each team is assigned a medical lead, administrative supervisor and student lead, and teams are confirmed no later than 3 months prior to the departure dates. Humanity First leadership will approve and confirm your position on the team. Apply to volunteer on a Gift of Health trip!
