What We Do / Casestudy HD

Liberia IT Training Center

Due to war and the lack of basic facilities in this part of world, the educational system has suffered tremendously along with the local economy. The HF USA team set up a computer center in 2007. It is a completely non-profit center and students are charged very nominal fee for the education. We have consistently seen an increase in students’ enrollment due to the high quality education and well-managed facility.

  • Presently, there are around 90 students
  • In total, around 250 students have graduated since the initial school setup
  • The students are taught different MS Office packages along with some hardware trouble-shooting modules
  • The school has actually started generating revenue and has become self sufficient in terms of purchasing necessary equipment

92% Return on Investment

Since its inception and IRS registration in 2004, Humanity First has been focused on spending most of the raised funds on direct program related expenses. As a result, more than 90% of its funds are in that expense category. This is achieved through dedicated volunteers in its management, and program operation teams.
